Nasdaq CSD has published the list of the 20 largest shareholders of (most) listed companies as of the end of July. Below you will find a summary showing the list for each company, along with month-on-month and year-to-date changes, as well as information on turnover and price development.
As before, the summary includes an overview of purchases and sales by the eight largest pension funds by company. Note that this is a rough approximation based on each company's VWAP during the month, and that a few companies are missing from the summary (ALVO, AMRQ, HAMP, ISF, JBTM, OCS).
NOTE - DUE TO THE MERGER OF ALMENNI PENSION FUND AND LÍFSVERK, YEAR-TO-DATE CHANGES FOR THE FUND ARE MEASURED FROM THE END OF JANUARY ONLY.
Gildi Pension Fund was the month's largest seller, trimming positions in ARION, ISB, FESTI, EIK, HAGA, REITIR and SIMINN for a combined ISKbn 8,6, against purchases of ISKbn 0,7 in BERA, HEIMAR and SVN.
Share buybacks were once again the largest buyer in the market: Arion, Íslandsbanki, Síminn, Skagi, Hagar and Festi all added own shares during July.
The eight largest pension funds were net sellers of roughly ISKbn 8,1 in the month, with Live Pension Fund's purchase of 5,0m shares in Íslandsbanki (ISKm 710) the largest single buy.
